About Us

Twin Oaks Baptist Church was founded in 1968. Today, what was a rural area in 1968, has developed into a commercial and residential area. Our location on Randall Road gives the church high visibility to the many people that pass the church on the way to-and-from work and home. Being located ½ mile north of I-90 and 1 mile south of Higgins Road (Ill route 72) provides easy access for visitors to the church. And if you would like a cup of coffee before the service, there is a Starbucks across the street.

Our church services are traditional and Biblically centered. The Biblical truth is expounded, explained, and made relevant for everyone. We place a high priority on God's Word and pray for the Spirit to use it to impact our lives.

We usually sing 4-5 hymns and then there is a 20-25 minute sermon. The music style, like the services at the church, is also traditional.

The Church has been blessed with a very nice sanctuary that will seat 100-120 people comfortably. We dress casually for services. The important thing is not how we dress but rather that we come to worship.  We observe The Lord's Supper once per quarter, and have a Business Meeting every second Wednesday after the first Sunday of the month. Every fourth Wednesday night we have a song service.

Twin Oaks has an attendance of about 35-40 on Sunday mornings and 10 at the Sunday evening service. Though we are small in number at the moment, the members of Twin Oaks are big on welcoming all visitors. The Church membership age is older, but we are seeing more younger families with children attend. Our prayer is that as we remain obedient to the Lord and His Word, that we will continue to grow both spiritually and numerically in all ages.

For those with small children, the church's nursery is located on the right-hand side when you enter the front doors. The nursery has a large picture window that provides a clear view of the sanctuary.
